Permission and privacy problems often look like workflow bugs even when the agent is behaving correctly. This page helps you identify the difference quickly.

If microphone access fails

  • Check operating system permissions first.
  • Confirm the intended input device is selected.
  • Retry with chat mode to separate voice issues from workflow issues.

If approvals feel excessive

  • Review the current permission level.
  • Confirm whether the task actually includes side effects such as writing, shell execution, or network access.
  • Adjust the level only if the environment is trusted.

If provider secrets are not working

  • Check whether the value lives in the expected place: keychain, env var, or config.
